wikimania

so here i am trying to do some homework and theres a term i wasn't really familar with (it was 'salient noun phrase') so i figured why not look on wikipedia to see what it has to say. Well guess what, it doesn't even exist on wikipedia! I eventually figured it out (looks like somone is smarter than wikipedia (itds me)) but anyways thats beside the point.

I got to thinking and then was thinking about in the future say there is some surgical (maybe pyschological) procedure which lets you pick one topic or stub from wikipedia to be implanted into your brain. It would be like memorizing something but just more like the MATRIX with Keanu Reeves or Johnny Neumonic with Keanu Reeves where it is instantly zapped into you and you can remember it in no time flat. Why it can only be one topic is just for interest sake cause it would be dumb if you could do the whole thing so just go along with it ok.

So logically i began thinking of the possibilities that this new scientific breakthrough could bestow upon me.

I thought pretty long and hard about it and came to the conclusion that I would pick this.

For those who don't like clicking things this is the title of it.

Poker probability (Omaha)/Derivations for making low hands

I just copy/pasted it and don't want to reformat the text so DEAL WITH IT.

Its the longest Wikipedia article and takes like 2 minutes to load because it has so much crap on it (my brain would be able to load it instantly though). Now its important to keep in mind that I've played poker probably half a dozen times so i don't really know what anything on this page means (or even the title) BUT think of how many hours some dude put into putting this on wikipedia and editing it and maintaining it and protecting it from wikipedia vandals. For that kind of dedication it must be pretty important. I think there is probably a lot of stuff in there that would also relate to other functions in my every day non poker playing life like...i dont know maybe something involving numbers or probability(what does that even MEAN?).

I guess i could maybe clean up at a casino too if i knew all this but i think that this kind of medical breakthrough could be very dangerous in the wrong hands too so maybe this is a Pandora's Box of the future (wikipedia it if you don't know what that means cause its a sweet metaphor in this case). I won't even bring into question the credibility of information on wikipedia because thats a whole different set of problems.

anyways i hope this gave you something to think about because it sure opened my eyes to the very intricate and confusing world of Poker probabilty. I don't really even remember how this started or how I got to this conclusion so see you next update.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the longest Wikipedia article is this one on former House of Representatives members.
